The new Reference Super Scoutmaster Signature with JMW-10.5i comes complete with everything that makes the standard SSM special, plus a lot more. The new Reference SSM includes VPI’s Outer Ring Clamp, HRX Center Weight, the Mini HRX Feet, the Super Platter, VPI's best 10” tonearm, the JMW-10.5i, the SDS motor controller and the fabulous new Rim Drive dual motor assembly.

The Rim Drive is a new “drive wheel,” which propels the platter (no pesky belts to slip, dry out or stretch!) producing deep, controlled bass with excellent extension at both frequency extremes.
