Power-Amp 909
The 909 distinguishes itself by an extremly high damping factor. This together with the ability to deliver high currents enables it to control any loudspeaker effortlessly over the full frequency range. The 909 can easily deliver high continous load currents and, thus, drive loudspeakers at the lowest impedance values. This renders the impulse response practically load-independant.
Like all our Power Amplifiers the 909 comes standard as a stereo amp. However, Burmester amps can easily be bridged into mono operation by using an external adapter supplied by us.
Specifications
Since 1990, the 909 represents the pinnacle of power amplification in the audio domain; our smaller models 911 and 956 are its direct descendants.
In the eyes of the expert press, the 909 is the “non plus ultra”. And, like all amplifiers from Burmester, the signal path of the 909 is fully balanced from front to end as well as DC-coupled.

Resulting from its titanic dimensions in combination with its tremendous capacity, the 909 is internationally regarded as reference. In case the capacity of the stereo-version should not be sufficient enough, we offer the 909 as mono-version as well.
The final touch of the 909 is achieved by the monumental appearance of the legendary power amp. The massive heat sinks, made out of aluminum anodised ribs are regarded worldwide as a characteristic feature of our Burmester power amps with their fine and melodious sound features.
