DA-8

The DA 8 amplifier consists of three transformers (one power supply and two output transformers), and four ECC 82 and ECC 83 triode tubes. These visible "towers" stand out in a black metal block with a golden face plate, with the on/off switch and the luminous diode as the only contrasting touch.

The DA 8 may be mounted with KT 90 power tubes, which will change the stereo image and the opening of the mid-range. In its black chassis with the golden face plate along the length of the amplifier, the DA 8, while respecting the traditional sobriety of our brand image, shows a tendency towards an aesthetic of severe and elegant simplicity where the only shining reflection comes from the metal part of the tubes.

About the Brand

Jadis was created by André Calmettes, sharing his passion : the design and realisation of tube amplifiers intended to give the most accurate musical reproduction, ignoring all costs and difficulty. This passion - at times overriding the demands of sleep and leisure - resulted in the creation of prototypes that produced a sensation in audiophile circles. Jadis amplifiers and preamplifiers represent the ideal amplification system for all acoustic loudspeakers, whatever the load, the functioning (whether electrodynamics, electrostatic, or isodynamic) and the efficiency. They have marvellous dynamics from the bass to the highest treble, and a total lack of coloration, including the kind that tube electronics are usually accused of.
