DA-60

The DA 60 was produced to satisfy both those who already have a Jadis system and who wish to improve it by adding a DA 60, and those who have little space and small financial means. We have in fact decided to integrate amplifier and preamplifier in the same block. The transformers at the back show up to advantage the orange glow of the tubes on their black stand.

The DA 60 retransmits perfectly the nuance and the exactness of a double bass string in full vibration. The tonality ofa piano and the blast of a trumpet reveal a remarkable authenticity, whether in the bass or in the treble range. The DA 60 is distinctive in that it does not produce any distortion and does not seem to have any graininess - the sound image is clear and limpid. The resolution of the mid-ange is so precise with the DA 60 that the nuances reproduced by other amplifiers do not seem to have a very high quality in comparison.

About the Brand

Jadis was created by André Calmettes, sharing his passion : the design and realisation of tube amplifiers intended to give the most accurate musical reproduction, ignoring all costs and difficulty. This passion - at times overriding the demands of sleep and leisure - resulted in the creation of prototypes that produced a sensation in audiophile circles. Jadis amplifiers and preamplifiers represent the ideal amplification system for all acoustic loudspeakers, whatever the load, the functioning (whether electrodynamics, electrostatic, or isodynamic) and the efficiency. They have marvellous dynamics from the bass to the highest treble, and a total lack of coloration, including the kind that tube electronics are usually accused of.
